Wells saved Ian Chesterton and Larry Madison from a Roboman. He later gave Ashton some jewellery in exchange for food for himself, Ian and Larry.
After the Daleks were defeated, he helped clear the fallen debris that was surrounding the TARDIS. (TV: The Dalek Invasion of Earth)
