Whitehall

Whitehall was a road in Westminster.

History[]

Sherlock Holmes and John Watson walked along it on their way to their lodgings at Baker Street. (PROSE: All-Consuming Fire)

According to later documentation, Whitehall refused to comment on the nature of the confidential cargo of the Elysium, although media coverage from the time made no indication of such cargo existing. (PROSE: Pride of Mayfield Star Lines Beached in Devastating Storm)

In the 1960s, a secret bunker was built under Whitehall. This was later used by members of Operation Golden Age as their base. (TV: Invasion of the Dinosaurs)

A number of British government offices were located there, including that of the Home Secretary, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Science, and the Forge. As a result, "Whitehall" was slang for the government departments and civil service. (PROSE: The Dying Days, Project: Valhalla, Made of Steel)

Liz Shaw was summoned to Whitehall by Brian Rutherford in 1995 to discuss the future of P.R.o.B.e. (HOMEVID: The Devil of Winterborne)
