Florence was an Eskoni slave raised without a name or even taught how to speak. She was given her name when she was assigned to look after Fitz Kreiner when he was injured by a knivor after arriving on Eskon. She was subsequently killed by the newly-hatched Spulver worms as Fitz and others were trying to escape their attack, Florence saying Fitz's name as her first and only word. (PROSE: Coldheart)
