I was just wondering if there were any "zombie" like aliens (I don't mean the nanobot mutation as seen in the Empty Child) or an alien that would take over dead human bodies (other than the remaining gasseous Gelth).
- I can't think of any zombie-like creatures. I can think of a few which could make zombie-like creatures, I suppose. Let's see...

I was just wondering because I recently saw the first episode with Martha Jones and the Doctor and the alien was sort of a "vampire" and that made me think of the werewolf back at the Torchwood house with Queen Victoria and that wandering just made me think zombies. That lead me to the gas-mask zombies back in the World War II, first meeting Cptn. Jack, but it didn't seem zombie-ish enough for me. Well, thank you for the help on satiating a passing fancy.
There was also the humans on New Earth that were created by the cat nuns to create their vaccines. They were pretty zombie like, though not aliens.Drscompanion2 21:50, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
- Love and War had people resurrected from the dead (not mindless flesh-eaters) and White Darkness had, literally, zombies in the Haitian Voodoo sense. (well, one, anyway. I only read that years ago.) AFAIK, actual George Romero zombies haven't appeared in the Doctor Who universe.
The Gelth came pretty close to being zombies when they possesed dead bodies in The Unquiet Dead --666hotline 10:03, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

What about the Vashta Nerada, and those monsters fro the comics, The Skeletoids. The natives of that planet in The Genocide Machine featured, they were rain drops that were able to animate a body, but they are not malevolent. Sclera1 12:24, October 17, 2009 (UTC)
