A user has recently decided to start moving pages, names of Battles in particular and adding a The to the start, a quick look at battle such as Battle of the Game Station show that they've previously been moved. Currently I am reversing all the moves pending this discussion. --Tangerineduel 07:12, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

There shouldn't be "The" at the beginning of battle articles for the same reason that we don't have "The" at the beginning of other articles. The reason the user gave was that "The" made it "grammatically correct", and I don't see how. ~ Ghelæ -talk-contribs 08:14, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

I am the user that change these. If you were to say the name of a battle would'nt you use 'The' I would? from--Skittles the hog 14:26, 4 January 2008 (UTC) Happy new year by the way!

Yes, you would, but there's no reason not to put "The" before the link to the battle. For example, "such as in the Battle of Canary Wharf". That is the standard on most other wikis, for example on Wikipedia there is the Battle of Britain, on Wookieepedia there is the Battle of Yavin, on Memory Alpha there is the Battle of Sector 001, to list a few. If you want to know why they don't have "The" at the start of those page titles, ask on those websites. ~ Ghelæ -talk-contribs 15:47, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
You can also have a look at one of Wikipedia's list of wars List of military conflicts spanning multiple wars which also don't have 'The' in front of them. --Tangerineduel 15:57, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Fair enough you win ure probably right --Skittles the hog 09:34, 5 January 2008 (UTC):(
