why did the Doctor wear a blue suit in Smith and Jones.---Si 16:38, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Why not? It's not like he's not allowed to change his clothes. That would be weird and kind of nasty (unless Gallifreyan clothes can clean themselves). Azes13 18:23, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

They might, considering that they have TARDISES and artificial black holes, in which cases self-cleaning clothes would be a bit basic, don't you think?

It seems to me that the reason he wore two sets of clothes in the episode was to make it clearer about the Doctor when he in the hospital and the Doctor when he was with his TARDIS and travelling back in time to perform the "cheap trick" of taking off his tie in front of Martha on the busy street. ~ Ghelæ -talk-contribs 06:46, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

As well as an excuse to produce another Character Option figure of the Tenth Doctor, I believe it was a conscious decision on the production team parts to suggest that Smith & Jones occurred some time after Rose (and Donna) had left the TARDIS. Somewhere, not yet remembered, it was stated that the blue was in fact that same blue that striped the brown suit, and aesthetically the blues worked better with Martha's debut costume.As the season progressed and became darker so it appears did the Doctor's costume! With Russell stating that next years stories will be more 'fun' I suspect the blue suit will return. Hope so Quite liked it myself.The Librarian 21:57, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

He wore a blue suit in S&J as an early sign to us all that the DoctorDonna was on her way. :) Had to get geared up for the day he would be create a regenerative clone so that guy would have clothes that fit.  :) CzechOut ☎ | ✍ 23:08, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

The Blue suit was seen in the preview of the Doctor's next adventure 'Waters of Mars'. Does this mean that we may see the other 'Doctor' last seen with Rose on Bad Wolf Beach in the parallel universe?--Master in disgusie 21:43, 12 April 2009 (UTC) The Master in Disguise
