Main text most commonly uses list format (expressed with < ul> and < li> tags) for lists of 4 items or more. However, we seem to have shied away from using lists in infoboxes and in tables, preferring instead to separate items with a < br />, doing away with the dot in front of each line. I've seen such infobox lists stretch for over 20 items.

No one answered this thread, perhaps because it was originally unsigned. T:NO HTML forbids the use of HTML ul/li tage directly in text. The infobox redesign since this thread was started doesn't establish a single standard. Instead, it's generally recommended that bulleted lists be avoided, preferring comma-separated lists. If there are a large number of points, the template {{bp}} provides a standardised approach to vertical listing.
