Is there a way to add a line to the proposed deletion template stating the reason the page should be deleted. I think it would help.--Skittles the hog 21:20, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

How so? The summary is pretty straight forward and there is the link to post the reasons on the talk page within the template already, which would give ample space to give reasons if the summary isn't long enough or if you needed to give a longer more thought out explanation for the reasons for deleting the page.

I've had a look through some of the other larger Wikias; the Muppet Wiki, Memory Alpha (Star Trek Wikia) and Wookipedia their delete templates function in pretty much the same way. --Tangerineduel 06:50, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

Although it looks like this discussion ended in the negative, ultimately Skittles' suggestion did become the way that {{proposed deletion}} worked.
