The Galaxy Games were an interplanetary sporting tournament. For years the Games were dominated by the Klondites, who won nearly every event. The First Doctor, John and Gillian landed on a planet where the Games were being held, and after watching a Klondite athlete win a running event, the Doctor entered John in the Games as Earth's representative. After John won his first race, the Klondite trainer first tried to have him killed, then kidnapped him. Both times he was rescued by the Doctor and Gillian, and went on to win the Galaxy Games for Earth. (COMIC: The Galaxy Games)
