Gungnir, or the Spear of Destiny, was a Physical Temporal Nexus.
According to the Time Lords, it was one of only six in existence. The Third Doctor said it was the same spear which pierced the side of Jesus at the Crucifixion. The Spear always hit its target, no matter how far away it was. The Master tried to obtain it in 141 Uppsala, but was stopped by the Third Doctor and Jo Grant.
