|Place of origin:||Sentarion|
The Harrubtii looked like large beetles with shiny black carapaces. They had thin faces, small red eyes and retractable piercing proboscises. They would use these proboscises to drink the blood of their enemies. (PROSE: Shakedown)
The Harrubtii were created to function as religious zealots. They dealt with any blasphemers, that is, anyone who pried too deeply in religious matters. They were relentless and tracked blasphemers off the planet if they needed to. They were also known for having violent arguments on religious matters, even amongst themselves. The other inhabitants of Sentarion feared the Harrubtii, believing that they came to drink the lives of blasphemers.
The Harrubtii were also excellent killers, killing by draining the blood from their victims. They commonly fought each other in endless blood-feuds, but they would also assassinate for a price and defend the secrets of the Shining Ones from intruders. (PROSE: Shakedown)
Early in their history, the Harrubtii were a primitive species, much like the other inhabitants of Sentarion. When the Rutan Host came to the planet, the Harrubtii were modified into defenders of the faith, protecting the temples and awaiting the return of the Rutans.
At some point in the 26th century, Bernice Summerfield came to Sentarion, looking for information on the Rutans. The Harrubtii learned of this and attempted to kill her, first when she landed on the planet and later when she was at a bar. They also killed Professor Lazlo Zemar when he spoke of Sentarion's history, specifically the involvement of the Rutans. When Bernice entered the sacred Temple of the Shining Ones, they tried to kill her yet again, but were stopped by the Lord Chancellor. (PROSE: Shakedown)
