Sir Henry Felton was an eminent scientist in the field of electronics who had discovered the secret of matter transmission.
Having built a prototype matter transmitter, Sir Henry was abducted by that means from the back of his chauffeur-driven Rolls-Royce by alien humanoids from Proxima Centauri in the Crab Galaxy, who feared that humanity would use the transmitter to spread their warlike ways across the galaxy.
After being rescued by the Third Doctor and the security forces, Sir Henry considered the aliens' fears and decided there and then to destroy the prototype and his notes, feeling that Mankind was not yet ready for his discovery. (COMIC: Ride to Nowhere)
