Hilda Winters was a member of the Scientific Reform Society, a group secretly planning to take over Earth.

After inviting Sarah Jane Smith to see the Experimental Prototype Robot K1, she demonstrates its inability to kill by asking it to terminate Sarah's life. The robot then became confused, claiming that such an order conflicted with its prime directive. Winters was then later seen at the meeting, which she led, in which she brought Professor Kettlewell outside, along with the robot. She then retreated with the SRS to their bunker, from which they attempted to override the nuclear missile codes of all nations in order, to create a nuclear holocaust. However, her plans were thwarted by the Doctor's interference. (DW: Robot)
