Hoothi spheres were silent gas dirigibles the size of a moon used by the Hoothi existing as part of the Hoothi group mind. They were made out of animal matter, tissue and bones, and were inflated by the gases they consumed. Bubbles of gas could form inside a sphere, giving visitors a breathable atmosphere. These ships were usually crewed by four Hoothi, who held psychic control over their slaves. The Hoothi's psychic powers, as well as the spheres' ability to enter hyperspace and Puterspace, allowed the spheres to avoid detection. Hoothi spheres usually had a staircase, which would descend from the ship to allow for boarding. One Hoothi sphere was blown up by Jan Rydd's pyrokinesis. (PROSE: Love and War, AUDIO: Love and War)
