- The title is a pun on the Fourth Doctor story, Horror of Fang Rock.
- Bernard Cribbins originally appeared in the "Dr. Who" theatrical film, Daleks - Invasion Earth 2150 AD. After his appearance in this audio drama, he went on to play Wilfred Mott in the television series during 2007-2008.
