Would he be good in New Who as a Villian?

Also why do so many people hate him? It's been said many of times that the person who created the character Adric, left Doctor Who, while Adric was still in it, so if the creator of Adric stayed would he of been.....

Some people also said that Adric is a version of themselves when they were teenagers, so what i'm getting from some fans is that they hated themselves as a teenager and decied to take the abuse out of Adric?
