What will the brigadier do now he is back from the dead. (To be honest, this is something that I think nobody expected, and I bloody love it!). Most obvious questions are he will reunite with Kate and possibly help UNIT out. But imagine the possibilities. --Coop3 21:16, November 9, 2014 (UTC)

I agree that it was unexpected, but by no means did I 'bloody love it'. For a start I hated the fact that he vaporised the Master. The Last of the Time Lords may have been a bad episode but at least it didn't end with our 'heroes' killing the Master in cold blood. What makes it even worse is the fact that the Master was the Doctor's only possible lead on his quest to find Gallifrey, so that (admittedly awesome) part near the end where the Doctor's smashing his TARDIS console out of rage? Yeah that's the cyber-Brigadier's fault for shooting first and not asking any questions later. Oh, and Clara's fault for wanting to kill the Master because of 'the people she's killed today' even though Clara never saw the Master kill anyone (seriously, rewatch the episode, from what I remember Clara is completely unaware of either the plane crash or what happened to Doctor Chang). Yeah if it wasn't for them the Doctor would still have a hope of finding Gallifrey. A round of slow applause for the Doctor's companions there, methinks.

And that's not all! The reveal was pretty terrible too. As soon as I saw Kate returned to safety I knew it was the Brigadier, and I thought: 'well that's awesome', but I also knew they were gonna spell it out a few seconds later and make the moment far less poignant. And sure enough, Clara said: 'she's talking about her Dad!' and the scene just became another boring example of the show not treating it's viewers with any intelligence.

Here's how the scene could have worked (because it was great in concept):

After the cybermen destroy the cloud thingy, the Master somehow turns the tables, gets her hands on the weapon and is about to shoot the Doctor. Then cyber-Brigadier shows up and saves the day, carrying an unconcious Kate in it's arms. Clara asks something along the lines of 'well who could that cyberman be?', but the Doctor says nothing and merely turns to the cyberman and salutes. He knows who the cyberman is, just as pretty much every member of the audience does. The cyberman flies off. The scene ends.

See what a missed opportunity the scene was now? It could have been done without turning the Brig and Clara into cold-blooded killers and the reveal of who the cyberman was could have been more fan-pleasing instead of painfully obvious.

As for your question, well, personally I hope we never see the cyber-Brig again. But I know eventually he's gonna return, probably in some spin-off baiting episode where he meets Rusty and Strax and they start a club for individuals from evil species who have turned good. Ugh. The fact I can actually see this happening means something's gone seriously wrong with this show. 213.249.213.20talk to me 19:08, November 10, 2014 (UTC)

I watched 'Battlefield' the other day and noted a scene where the Doctor has to threaten a life to save Ace, but can't do it and experiences a dilemma, until the Brig comes along and does it for him. That's how the character should work. Not shooting the villain in the face. 213.249.213.20talk to me 19:30, December 18, 2014 (UTC)
