Back in 2007, Moffat wrote a short story called "Corner of the Eye" about a species of small, grey, humanoid creatures called the Floof that were super-evolved to be perfect at hiding. Could this be what the Doctor was referring to? Could this be what was under the sheets? (unsigned)
