Now that the doctor has a new regeneration cycle, do you think each incarnation will be similar to the original cycles ones? What I mean is since 12th doctor seems to be quite similar to first doctor, is this a consequence of the new cycle or just coincidence. Two examples are they look same age physically and the 12th doctor is apparently going to be a no nonsense doctor, which reminds me of the first doctors personality. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 90.201.98.11 (talk • contribs) .

Which is weird if the next doctor is a woman, and to compare her to the second doctor. In fact, it is weird thinking about the fact that the twelfth doctor is kind of separate from all the previous 12 and that that cycle and era is over. Quite symbolic that that era finished after 50 years near enough exactly, heres to the next fifty!--176.24.216.28talk to me 20:48, May 28, 2014 (UTC)

I don't think the incarnations in this cycle will parallel those of the original cycle, so far as casting/production policy is concerned. We've seen so little of the 12th Doctor that it's severely premature to say he "seems to be quite similar to first doctor". I expect, though, that someone sufficiently motivated to do so will be able to find similarities between them. Someone sufficiently motivated to do so could find similarities between a lawnmower & a poached egg! :) --89.241.211.58talk to me 04:53, May 29, 2014 (UTC)

first thing: I now count Hurt's Doctor in the numbers, so he's nine. Eccleston is ten, tennant eleven, and Smith's is twelve, making Capaldi, thirteen. Not counting the Metacrisis doc. Anyway... I think they should mix it up with really different ones... starting with when Capaldi's Doctor regenerates into the Fourteenth Doctor... by being a woman. Scandalous I know, but it would be really funny while also serious, and tackle real issues like people who feel like they're born the wrong gender ('She' would be uncomfortable for a while being a girl, with a strong Smith-like response when 'she' realises about being a girl.) and tackle gender equality, (maybe hint that there shouldn't really be a battle of the sexes, and how simple biology plays into certain things that mean we wont be equal, while at the same time yes, there are things gender should be equal on. Read a recent Cracked.com article on the subject.) Also, Fourteen maybe finds Jenny, and finds it difficult to tell her about what happened to Donna. One or two run-ins with River, who just flirts like mad to fourteen's discomfort. and yes, River would show up a few times, hopefully for Capaldi and Fourteen... though we'd maybe only hear after Fifteen onward (actor constraint, lack of River having any regenerations left since 'Lets Kill Hitler'.) Fourteen's Companions should be a brother and sister pair from the future, who maybe know more about operating the TARDIS, with hints that they're the children of past companions (a certain pair of teachers from so long ago?) who know a lot more than their apparent origins suggest? Also, Fourteen would have a much more parental relationship with them. what do you guys think? AlexMcpherson 18:14, August 9,

The person above should write for Doctor Who. Also, the twelth and first do have simularities, They have some what similer personalitys, They both have companions who are teachers at Coal Hill, and the actors, when they played the doctor, were both in there fiftys. 66.102.6.166talk to me 15:41, June 25, 2015 (UTC)
