Hyspero was a planet at the very edge of the universe. It was one of the only places in the universe from which the Obverse could be reached. (PROSE: Enter Wildthyme) The planet had a twenty-one-hour day. Literature on the planet celebrated thieves and assassins. There was an almost mythological quality to the life and landscape of the planet.

The capital, also called Hyspero, was famed for its markets, (PROSE: The Scarlet Empress) from which Iris Wildthyme was known to have bought a mystical handbag. (AUDIO: Excelis Dawns) The planet used a currency known as dirnas convertible at 5.1 to the British pound. (PROSE: The Panda Book of Horror)

After Iris Wildthyme left the Obverse, the Clockworks followed her out of that universe to Hyspero. Unable to find her, they waited millennia there for her to return to the planet. (PROSE: Wildthyme Beyond!)

In 1999, Iris and Panda visited Hyspero's desert and built sand castles. Panda drew a sketch of Iris while she was resting. (PROSE: Iris at the V&A)
