Ikona was a Lakertyan male and the brother of Lanisha.
Biography[]
Ikona rebelled against the First Rani's rule, but had difficulty convincing the rest of his people to do so.
After helping the Seventh Doctor defeat the Rani, he became the new leader of his people.
Although Ikona was given the antidote to the Rani's killer insects by the Doctor, he poured this away on the ground as he believed if the Lakertyans were to survive, they had to solve their own problems from now on. (TV: Time and the Rani [+]Pip & Jane Baker, Doctor Who season 24 (BBC1, 1987).)
