Ilyas Ada was an island near Turkey. In 1914, it was the site of an archaeological dig. One of the expedition, Maurice Bernard, thought it might be a Trojan settlement.
Bernard found a goblet at the site. When he returned to the site the next day, the dig site was gone, replaced by a crater, at the centre of which stood the goblet. (PROSE: Ante Bellum)
