Jack Bligh (31 December 1889[1]-25 September 1967) played Gaptooth in the Doctor Who story The Smugglers. He is notable as being the earliest born actor to have filmed footage for Doctor Who.
Bligh made his debut in a 1962 episode of Brothers in Law, after which he appeared in Dixon of Dock Green, Moonstrike, Z-Cars, Danger Man, No Hiding Place, Till Death Us Do Part, Adam Adamant Lives!, Man in a Suitcase and The Wednesday Play. However, it wasn't all bit parts; he had a semi-regular role as Jonty on Taxi!.
