Jamie Ferguson was a reporter for the Daily News. While investigating the strange goings-on near Puddlesfield, he stole a film canister that had been used by the crew of The Squire of Crampton. Since Professor Midas had used his ray machine on the film, when Jamie had it played, it turned him and those who viewed it with him into plastic. (COMIC: The Celluloid Midas)
