Jared Rahman (or Ramon) was the boyfriend and later husband of Philippa "Flip" Jackson.
Biography[]
Jared invited Flip on a date to a disco at the local community centre so that she would not think that he was an idiot. (AUDIO: The Middle)
Jared and Flip were riding a London tube train in 2010 when it slipped through a temporal fissure to the sentient planet Symbios, where they met the Sixth Doctor and Evelyn Smythe. (AUDIO: The Crimes of Thomas Brewster)
He later had his mind exchanged with the mind of a Dalek, when he reported "the Doctor" escaping to earth. He was used to find the Doctor and, in the process, blew up his and Flip's apartment. On "the Doctor's" orders his mind was replaced into his body. When he came with Flip and "the Doctor" to the Battle of Waterloo on 18 June 1815, he was captured by the British forces and met the Duke of Wellington. After thwarting an attempted Dalek invasion, he and Flip entered a Dalek time machine, intending to return to 2012. The Doctor later revealed to Peri Brown that he returned Flip to the 21st century, where she and Jared subsequently became engaged to be married. He vowed to return for their wedding, some day. After Peri declined his offer to attend the wedding with him, he vowed to return for her, one day. The Doctor confided in Peri that he thought that Jared was "punching above his weight" when it came to Flip. (AUDIO: The Widow's Assassin) After their wedding, Flip took up Jared's last name.
