John Baskcomb (7 February 1916-29 March 2000[1]) played Luigi Rossini in the Doctor Who television story Terror of the Autons.
Baskcomb television credits included The Protectors, Sergeant Cork, The Saint, Out of the Unknown, Softly, Softly, The First Lady, The Six Wives of Henry VIII, Z-Cars and Crown Court. However, he is best known for playing Petty Officer Woodward in twenty-six episodes of Tell It to the Marines, Timothy Forstye in four episodes of The Forsyte Saga and Nat Pearce on Poldark. His film credits included Oliver!, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Battle of Britain and Dad's Army.
