John Savident (born 21 January 1938[1]-21 February 2024[2]) played the Squire in the Doctor Who television story The Visitation.
He later voiced Pendle in the Big Finish Productions audio story Order of the Daleks.
Career[]
Savident is best known for playing Fred Elliot in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street from 1994 to 2006.
He also appeared in The Saint, Callan, two different roles in Blake's 7, and Sharpe's Regiment; and had a role in the dystopian crime film A Clockwork Orange.
