Jonias was a scientist working in temporal theory. He said that it had been stuck for a generation between two competing theories, Duranti's Simultaneity Theory and Denalok's Multiplicity Model, and he was trying to unify them. He said they had been wrong as they fundamentally treated time as analogous to switching pages in a book. He said time wasn't static, and to travel in time we have to enter the book. He described walking into a tunnel as a path through time. Romana II thought that he was talking about the Time Vortex. Narvin then questioned him on his ethics, as he experimented on the ex-slaves to find out how to use the technology. (AUDIO: Evolution)
