St Justinian's, named in the memory of hero Sir Justin of Wells, was Stockbridge's local church, dating back to the 11th century. A statue of "Saint Justinus" lay inside. (COMIC: The Tides of Time, The Stockbridge Showdown, AUDIO: Plague of the Daleks)

The building was next to a field which was sometimes used by the citizens of Stockbridge to play cricket. (COMIC: The Tides of Time) On the opposite side of the building was a cemetery. (COMIC: Endgame)

History[]

In the 1970s, when Stockbridge was invaded by the Iron Legion, St Justinian's was damaged. After they left the village, a large chunk of stone could be seen missing from the top of the church and smoke was billowing from its base. (COMIC: Doctor Who and the Iron Legion)

On 12 June 1984, Harold and Alice Withers were married in the church. (AUDIO: The Eternal Summer)

In 1996, the Eighth Doctor parked his TARDIS in the field in front of St Justinian's. Because the church was to the north of Stockbridge's bookshop, the Doctor immediately sensed that the geography of the village had been messed with by the Celestial Toymaker. (COMIC: Endgame)

In 2005, Maxwell Edison watched the Cybermen invasion force from the base of the church. (COMIC: The Flood)

12 & Dogbolter

The Twelfth Doctor, Maxwell Edison, Josiah W. Dogbolter, and Gol Clutha inside St Justinian's. (COMIC: The Stockbridge Showdown)

In 2016, the Twelfth Doctor lured Josiah W. Dogbolter to St Justinian's, where Maxwell Edison and Izzy Sinclair saved the Doctor's life and knocked out Dogbolter. This showdown, which included Dogbolter confessing to murder, was filmed by Sharon Allen, and was broadcast to the Galactic Broadcasting Corporation in Dogbolter's century. This led to Dogbolter's arrest and the freezing of his assets. (COMIC: The Stockbridge Showdown)
