Karagula was the name of the sole planet to orbit the two stars of the Izjol system.

The planet had limited resources, forcing the colonists who moved there to constantly struggle for survival. Minerals found on the planet include obsidian and axite ores, which could be turned into float-stones.
Predatory lifeforms native to the planet included cave scorpions and rock spools. (PROSE: The Dust of Ages, The Graves of Mordane, The Colour of Darkness)

Karagula was colonised by an unknown group of people, identifiable by their use of the Lithic script. These colonists struggled on the planet and eventually split into two different groups. The Karagulans stayed on the surface, while the Darksmith Collective moved underground. (PROSE: The Dust of Ages, The Graves of Mordane, The Colour of Darkness)
