Professor Charles Kettering was a scientist and the Master's assistant on the Keller Machine. He demonstrated its first use in Stangmoor Prison to the press. He refused to listen to the Third Doctor's warnings about the Machine's dangers, and it killed him by turning his fear of drowning against him. (TV: The Mind of Evil)
