Kiani was a student at the Time Lord Academy. She wrote a dissertation on post-Shada Time Lord imprisonment. She wanted to interview the Eleven for her thesis. The Eleven thought that she was to become an Inquisitor. Farina thought she aided in the Eleven's escape. The Eighth Doctor asked her to help locate Liv Chenka and to aid his investigations, as her research was useful to help them escape the prison wing. The Doctor said that she reminded him of an old friend of his. The Eleven killed her before he stole a TARDIS. (AUDIO: The Eleven)
