Kimus was a native of the planet Zanak and a friend of Pralix and Mula. He aided the Fourth Doctor by taking him to the Captain's bridge so he could free Romana I. He was also present when the Doctor revealed the truth about Zanak's mineral wealth; Zanak hollowed out entire other worlds to support itself. Despite never having known of other planets before the Doctor arrived, Kimus was clearly horrified at this discovery, picking up a sample of a rare mineral from the lost planet, Bandraginus Five, and vowing to avenge that planet by every last breath in his body. He then accompanied the Mentiads in their assault on Zanak's bridge and the final defeat of the Captain, personally firing the shot that eliminated Queen Xanxia. (TV: The Pirate Planet)
