Lahk was the leader of a Rostrow space mission. They came from the planet Birr to gather plant specimens to bring back to their home planet. When their ship was unable to take off, some of his men and he captured the First Doctor, who had just arrived on the planet. They asked him to help repair their ship. The Doctor discovered the Rostrows had mistakenly taken some of the native Verdants prisoner. Lahk agreed to the Doctor's plan to see the Verdants' leader Phlege and make peace with them. With the misunderstanding resolved, Lahk and the other Rostrows were allowed to leave. (COMIC: Mission for Duh)
