Liam wanted to be in the army like his father. Charles Rigby attempted to convince him otherwise with tales of the war, but they only encouraged him. Charles showed him a black box he had found. As he did, they were beset by wasps and they fled. He treated Hilary Pink as a coward as he was a Quaker. He later found out Hilary was his father as he had been with his mother while her husband was at war. (PROSE: Eater of Wasps)
