Astrolabus's TARDIS

Astrolabus' TARDIS in the form of a lighthouse. (COMIC: Voyager)

A lighthouse was a structure built close to water to aid ships by guiding them with a beam of light that allowed them to see hazards to navigation. It was against lighthouse regulations for liquor to be on the premises. (TV: Horror of Fang Rock) The first lighthouse built on Earth was in Alexandria. (COMIC: Voyager)

In the 1900s, a Rutan scout landed near Fang Rock and attacked the keepers of the lighthouse there. The Fourth Doctor and Leela, who were trying to get to Brighton, found themselves on Fang Rock and became involved in combating the invader. The Doctor used a diamond and the lighthouse's beam to "convert the carbon arc beam", turning the building into a powerful laser and destroying the Rutan mothership. (TV: Horror of Fang Rock)

In the 1970s, Professor Tansbury conducted experiments in a disused lighthouse off the coast of Porthferiot, Cornwall, resulting in the creation of a giant lizard, the growth of which destroyed the lighthouse. (COMIC: The Tansbury Experiment)

In 2006, the Cynrogs used the Black Island lighthouse as their base while trying to recreate Balor. (PROSE: The Nightmare of Black Island)

Bev Tarrant and Adrian Wall investigated a strange lighthouse while searching for Clarissa Jones. (PROSE: Hiding Places)

The TARDIS belonging to Astrolabus took the form of a lighthouse. (COMIC: Voyager)

When the Fugitive Doctor had to hide herself using the Chameleon Arch she was given false memories of having lived in a lighthouse. Disguised as Ruth Clayton she would sometimes get visions of this lighthouse. The Thirteenth Doctor prompted her to go her childhood lighthouse where she eventually broke the glass, freeing her Time Lord consciousness. Her TARDIS was also buried near the building. (TV: Fugitive of the Judoon)
