Location information

Loading map...

Though it's possible that a real world location doesn't exist in the same geographic space in the Doctor Who universe, such cases are few and far between. Thus, the map at right is probably a good indicator of the DWU location of Liverpool.

County borders[]

Historically, the city of Liverpool was located in the county of Lancashire. Following a reform of county boundaries in 1974, Liverpool became part of Merseyside.

Dan Lewis' apparent dislike for Leeds, and nearby Sheffield, in The Halloween Apocalypse is most likely banter, stemming from the historic rivalry between Lancashire and Yorkshire. Dan is a born Liverpudlian and, if Dan's age reflects that of John Bishop, would have born in Liverpool when the city was part of Lancashire; both Leeds and Sheffield are typical Yorkshire cities.
