Long was a member of the IMC expedition to Uxarieus under Captain Dent. He was guarding the IMC spaceship when Mary Ashe arrived, asking about Jo Grant. He told her he didn't know anything, but the Third Doctor knocked him out. (TV: Colony in Space)
