Magda's Mysteries was a small bookshop run by Magda which was located in the corner of the Darlington indoor market. It could be accessed from both the interior and the exterior of the market. Behind the scenes[]
On Paul Magrs' original blog on the website set up for him by Stuart Douglas, Magrs mentioned that he remembered an old "remainer shop" that used to exist in Darlington, which specialised in which sold imported American novels such as Ace Fantasy[1]- it is likely that Magda's Mysteries was at least inspired by this bookshop.
