Magnatite was a liquid which acted as a conductor in klister valves. On Tiro, the First Doctor discovered that one of his klister valves had run out of magnatite. Since he had used the last of the magnatite for some experiments a month prior and had forgotten to replenish his stock, he was forced to get some more from Argon. (PROSE: Terror on Tiro)
