You may be looking for the individual.

A swamp or marsh was an area of land partially covered with shallow water. The Doctor encountered swamps on many planets in his travels, including one inside Vorg's miniscope (TV: Carnival of Monsters [+]Robert Holmes, Doctor Who season 10 (BBC1, 1973).) and one in the Matrix. (TV: The Deadly Assassin [+]Robert Holmes, Doctor Who season 14 (BBC1, 1976).)

Swamps on Earth[]

The Ninth Doctor said that London used to be marshland. (TV: World War Three [+]Russell T Davies, Doctor Who series 1 (BBC One, 2005).) The Eleventh Doctor said likewise about Venice. (TV: The Vampires of Venice [+]Toby Whithouse, Doctor Who series 5 (BBC One, 2010).)

Redvers Fenn-Cooper once visited a swamp full of giant lizards like giant dinosaurs. (TV: Ghost Light [+]Marc Platt, Doctor Who season 26 (BBC1, 1989).)

The Eleventh Doctor, Amy Pond and Rory Williams visited a swamp in 1929 Louisiana.
