Michael Jayston (born 29th October 1935) played the Valeyard in The Mysterious Planet, Mindwarp, Terror of the Vervoids, and The Ultimate Foe. He later reprised the role in He Jests at Scars... produced by Big Finish Productions. He went on to play Donald Dezuza in Emmerdale.
