Mickey Edwards (11 August 1949[1]-2019[2]) was the visual effects designer for the Doctor Who television story Four to Doomsday.

Career[]

At the time of his involvement with Doctor Who, he had already been working in visual effects for about a decade. He was a visual effects assistant to Jim Francis on Blake's 7, for instance.

After Doctor Who, he worked on the BBC adaptations of Prince Caspian/The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, featuring Ailsa Berk, and The Silver Chair, featuring Tom Baker. He continued to be active throughout the 1990s and 2000s, by which time he had come to be credited as a member of various "special effects" departments. In 2009, he was a special effects technician on Agora and Sherlock Holmes.
