Microsoft was a business corporation founded in 1975 that sold computer hardware and software and rose to particular prominence in the last two decades of the 20th century and into the early 21st.[source needed]
In 1996, Microsoft manufactured android versions of Frankenstein's Monster, Dracula and the Grey Lady for the Festival of Ghana. The company later underwent investigation for building dangerous robots. (PROSE: Interference - Book One, TV: The Chase)
Behind the scenes
- The original 1965 serial The Chase does not identify Microsoft as the maker of the robots — indeed the company wasn't even established for another decade. This was later subject to a retcon in the aforementioned novel.
