Mission of the Viyrans was a one-part story released along with The Mind's Eye. Unlike other releases, this story is not connected to the story it is released with nor does it have the same cast as The Mind's Eye; this story does not feature Erimem played by Caroline Morris.

• Peri remembers her imaginary stepson Kyle (AUDIO: The Mind's Eye), Dracula (AUDIO: Son of the Dragon) and Erimem's departure (AUDIO: The Bride of Peladon).
• The nature of Virus 7001 and the Viyrans' "glass coffins" would later be explained in greater detail in AUDIO: Patient Zero, in which the Sixth Doctor returns to Grallista Social in the company of Charley Pollard.
