Moreton Harwood was the small village in Gloucestershire, where Sarah Jane Smith's aunt Lavinia Smith bought a manor house and moved from South Croydon, in 1979. Along with her furnishings, Lavinia took a crate that had been delivered for Sarah Jane the previous year. Unbeknownst to Lavinia, the crate contained K9 Mark III. Lavinia's ward Brendan Richards nominally resided with Lavinia but boarded at Wellington College during the academic year; he wanted to attend the local comprehensive school in Moreton Harwood. (TV: A Girl's Best Friend)
Moreton Harwood was located along a rail line and had a passenger station. (TV: A Girl's Best Friend) The village's distance from Leadworth, also in Gloucestershire, is unknown. (TV: The Eleventh Hour).
