The Morphuse were space travelling, carnivorous humanoids with a reptillian streak (e.g. eyes, tongue). They operated in small packs and feasted on creatures live. When the Doctor encountered a gang of ten led by Mistress Zof'lya, in Detroit 1970 he arranged for them to be teleported off the Earth by his friend Derek aka Elvis, to be relocated.
