Morris Minors were common cars in the 20th century. They were manufactured in three series — the MM (1948), the Series II (1952) and the 1000 (1956) — and were the most popular model in the UK for most of the 1950s, being exported with some success, but were outsold by a wide margin by the competing Volkswagen Beetle worldwide.
In 1959, CIA agents Hawk and Weismuller drove a Morris Minor 1000 while they were in Wales, having been assigned to recover an American satellite. The car's registration number was BUO 193. (TV: Delta and the Bannermen)
