Nina Wadia played Dr Ramsden in the Doctor Who story The Eleventh Hour.
In 2007, she was cast as Zainab Masood in EastEnders, having previously had a minor role playing a nurse in the show in 1994.
Wadia is also well known for the sketch show Goodness Gracious Me, which she co-wrote alongside Sanjeev Bhaskar and Meera Syal.
