Early history
Edit
Vikings invaded twice on their way down from Scandinavia.
In 943, Vikings buried a flask containing Fenric in the town of Maiden's Point. The Haemovore known as the Ancient One followed them and over generations transformed several people into Haemovores. (TV: The Curse of Fenric)
In the late summer of 1066, the renegade Time Lord known as the Monk lit a beacon to signal Viking longships. He intended to sink the invasion fleet with an atomic bazooka in order to prevent the their landing, thus negating the reduction in Harold Godwinson's force strength before the Battle of Hastings and preventing the Norman Conquest under William the Conqueror. That plan was foiled by the First Doctor. (TV: The Time Meddler)

During 1943 in the latter part of World War II, Fenric was released via ULTIMA, an early computer installed at Maiden's Point. the Seventh Doctor fought back both Fenric and the Haemovores. (TV: The Curse of Fenric)
C19 later had a Vault there where it stored alien artefacts. This was run by a man named Martyn Townsend. (PROSE: The Scales of Injustice)
